JONESBORO, Ark. – In the dash cam footage from a Jonesboro Police Department cruiser involved in a wreck Thursday afternoon, many questions are answered about the incident.
In the video, the suspect is seen getting loose from his handcuffs. He then retrieves a Zippo-style lighter and is seen trying to light the interior of the patrol car on fire.
It is at this point in time the cruiser flips and almost instantly, shows the suspect appear to be sucked out of the rear window. He ran from authorities and civilians following the incident but was apprehended a short time later.
Logan Younger, 19, was treated at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center and released. He has been taken to the Craighead County Detention Center where he is being held on the charges of Escape 3rd Degree, Public Intoxication, Fleeing on Foot and Minor in Possession. Younger is being held at this time awaiting a Probable Cause hearing.
Officer Justin Thompson was taken to The Med in Memphis from his injuries in the wreck. Thompson encountered Younger when responding to a call at the Mall at Turtle Creek of an intoxicated person. Younger was then arrested for Public Intoxication and Minor in Possession.
