JONESBORO, Ark. – A man is accused of felony video voyeurism for recording women in the shower at his residence.
A 25-year-old female reported the incident Tuesday in Jonesboro. She told police she was trying to take a shower when a male roommate slid his phone under her locked door to capture video of her.
She was very upset and alerted her other roommate who came to her defense and witnessed the ordeal, the report said. She told police she promptly left and moved out of the residence.
Investigators interviewed the man, Virlan Garyuen Lee, at the police station. After being
Mirandized on a recorded video, the affidavit said, “Lee admitted to recording the victim on two different occasions.”
However, the affidavit says the Lee continued.
“Lee then admitted to recording a second female that previously lived at the residence.”
Lee now faces two Class D felony charges of video voyeurism at a residence, business, or school. Each charge is punishable by up to a $10,000 fine and up to six years in prison.
Lee’s next court date is September 28 at Craighead County Courthouse.
