
JONESBORO, Ark. – Someone decided to give a neighborhood an unnecessary scare Sunday.
Officer Jacob Daffron with Jonesboro Police Department took the call at the 300-block of State Street in Jonesboro, in reference to shots heard. According to the report, he searched the area and was flagged down on Cedar Heights Drive by a woman who advised the windows of her residence at the 1800-block of Cedar Heights had been shot.
The window frame and screen were damaged, the officer observed, with it appearing a bullet had been fired from close range in an upward trajectory, according to the report.
The window was to her child’s bedroom.
The woman noticed a bullet and brought it to the officer’s attention. A .25 round and casing was recovered.
