JONESBORO, Ark. – You can’t say he didn’t have a good reason to want to move.
Around 10 p.m., a resident of The Links Apartments was moving from the 1700 block of Links Circle “due to several recent thefts,” according to the report.
While his parents helped him to move, one noticed two suspects outside, with one appearing to act as a spotter for the second. The second suspect, meanwhile, was busy rummaging through the victim’s car, stealing several thousand dollars in valuables.
According to the mother of the victim, the two men got into an older, gold, four-door passenger car with tinted windows and a pinstripe down the side and then drove away. The car was believed to be a type of Toyota, Honda, or Hyundai but not a full-sized sedan such as a Malibu or Taurus.
The victim was missing $2,700.00 from his wallet, the report states, and an iPhone 6.
The tech-savvy victim was able to track the phone on his laptop using the “Find My iPhone” app and discovered it discarded, nearby, with several fingerprints on the screen. The phone was logged into evidence.
The suspects were described as two black males, one with shoulder length dreadlocks.
The suspects face several felonies each, including breaking and entering a vehicle, theft greater than $1,000 from a vehicle and theft of credit/debit card property.
