JONESBORO, Ark. – Burglars found an easy target in the form of a victim who was in jail and the culprits could face felony charges.

Sometime between July 22 and July 28, a home at the 700-block of Freeman Street became a target for burglars who took a big screen television, a breakfast table and two chairs, and a John Deere riding lawn mower.

The owner of the home has been in jail since July 22.

Police found glass broken to a window but it was small and the officer did not believe a grown adult could fit through the small opening. The window was painted shut and had not been opened, either.

The victim’s ex-boyfriend made the report to police. He was told to tell the victim when she got out of jail to contact the police department with the serial numbers for the stolen items.

Police do not have any known suspects. If you can help authorities, call 935-STOP to report crime and you could earn cash.
