JONESBORO, Ark. – A peaceful march from Main Street to the Jonesboro Police Station on Caraway Road in Jonesboro is planned for Saturday morning.
Plans are for the march to begin at 8 a.m. at 124 South Main Street in Jonesboro. One of those involved, Adrias Johnson, said there will be police and citizens both present and the hope is for everyone to gain a better understanding of each other.
“It’s just a peaceful march that starts on Main Street to the police station,” Johnson said.
Jonesboro police will have officers escorting the march and answering questions at the police station, Sgt. Cassie Brandon said Friday.
NEA Report will broadcast the march live, signal permitting, on our Facebook page. If signal cuts out, we will record the entire march and post it online, in HD, as soon as it concludes.
