JONESBORO, Ark. – A terrifying incident was reported by a mother late Monday.
It happened at the 400-block of North Rogers Street in Jonesboro, according to the victim’s report. Officers responded to the residential burglary call at 9:20 p.m. and met with the victim, 26, who described the frightening ordeal.
Three to four men, around the ages of 17, knocked on the door and when the victim answered, pointed a handgun at her. The male in front asked where her boyfriend was. When the victim tried shutting the door, a suspect’s gun was pointed directly at her child’s face, the report said. She was unsuccessful in keeping the young men out, who barged in and flipped the couch in the living room, threatening to shoot the victim if she did not turn around.
The victim reported curling up next to the front door, covering her daughter, while the males went through the apartment.
After less than five minutes, they stole her cell phone and ran out the front door into a gold colored Chevrolet Impala, the report said. Authorities believe they know the owner of the suspect vehicle.
The suspects could face felony aggravated residential burglary charges as well as felony endangering the welfare of a minor in the first degree.
