Arkansas State University will host a free public lecture on ethical interactions and informed decision-making at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, in the Reng Student Union auditorium.
Adam Feltz, a professor of psychology at the University of Oklahoma, will speak as part of A-State’s annual Lecture-Concert Series, which features performers and educators.
“Feltz specializes in theoretical and applied science for ethical and informed decision-making,” said Jacob Caton, an associate professor of philosophy at A-State. “He is regarded as one of the world’s experts on the psychology and philosophy of ethical disagreement. Feltz is best known for his groundbreaking work identifying sources of fundamental philosophical biases in moral judgment.”
According to A-State, Feltz has more than 80 publications on topics including decision biases in surrogate decision-making and the design of ethical decision support and communication.
“This event is intended to give helpful and practical advice to assist everyone in making better and more informed decisions,” Caton said.
The presentation is free and open to the public.
