JONESBORO, Ark. — Overnight closures are set to begin Monday, Nov. 2, in the Caraway Road expansion project area as crews prepare to install six drainage pipe crossings, according to the city of Jonesboro.
The first closure is planned from 9 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday. Crews will saw-cut the asphalt to prepare for the pipe installations.
Additional closures are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3, and Wednesday, Nov. 4, weather permitting. Each closure is planned for 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
After the initial preparation work, motorists should expect possible overnight closures up to two nights a week for about six weeks. Crews plan to install one drainage pipe crossing per week.
The overnight closures could continue through the week of Dec. 7, depending on weather conditions and construction progress.
Drivers should check the digital message boards at both ends of the project area for updated closure information and scheduling changes. The city also encouraged residents to follow its Facebook and Instagram accounts for updates.
