LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) will host a check presentation with the Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE) on Aug. 17, to commemorate $114.3 million raised for in-state student scholarships.
The event will be held at 10 a.m. in front of the ASL Claim Center at 124 W. Capitol Ave. in Little Rock. ASL Executive Director Sharon Strong will provide remarks, and the public is invited to attend.
“Alongside the Arkansas Department of Higher Education, we want to celebrate another successful year and highlight one of our largest scholarship fund transfers to date,” Strong said. “We’re proud to say that each year, our work directly supports thousands of students across the state.”
In fiscal year 2026, ASL raised a landmark $114,307,596 in net proceeds for scholarships, second only to the $129,404,053 raised in fiscal year 2024. This achievement follows two jackpot-winning Powerball® tickets sold in Arkansas in December 2025 and March 2026. As of June, the lottery has returned more than $1.6 billion for more than 873,000 scholarships since its inception. These lottery-funded scholarships, awarded by ADHE, include:
- The Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship is available to Arkansas residents attending two-and four-year institutions;
- The Arkansas Workforce Challenge Scholarship provides financial aid for students seeking training and certification in high-demand career fields;
- The ACCESS to Acceleration Program supports high school students enrolled in college courses and will be fully implemented by fall 2029.
“These scholarships create life-changing opportunities for so many students and aspiring professionals in Arkansas,” Strong added.
