JONESBORO, Ark. — A motorcyclist died after a crash involving a pickup truck Monday morning in Jonesboro, according to the Jonesboro Police Department.
Police said officers and emergency medical personnel responded at 7:58 a.m. to a vehicle collision near the intersection of Woodsprings Road and West Parker Road. The crash involved a pickup truck and a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was transported by EMS to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said.
The crash remains under investigation. Police said more information will be released as the investigation concludes.
In the Facebook post, JPD also said the city of Jonesboro has recorded nearly twice as many fatal crashes as it had at this time last year. Police reminded drivers to slow down, wear seat belts and avoid texting while driving.
