JONESBORO, Ark. — Jamario Thomas is accused of using another person’s credit card information without permission to pay for a two-night hotel stay in Jonesboro, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Thomas, 23, faces allegations of theft by receiving involving a credit or debit card or account number, a Class D felony, and fraudulent use of a credit card, a Class A misdemeanor, according to court documents.
The cardholder reported the unauthorized transaction to the Jonesboro Police Department on Dec. 30, 2025. The hotel reservation totaled $210.68, the affidavit states.
Hotel management provided registration records and surveillance footage of the check-in process. Those records showed Thomas rented the room on Dec. 24, 2025, according to the affidavit.
The investigator reported identifying Thomas by comparing the hotel’s surveillance photo with his driver’s license image.
Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause to detain Thomas pending further proceedings on Sept. 14 and set bond at $15,000 cash or surety, according to the court order. A public defender was appointed to represent him.
Thomas is scheduled to appear in Craighead County Circuit Court in Jonesboro at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 26.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
