WYNNE, Ark. — The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division (CID) has initiated a homicide investigation at the request of the Wynne Police Department (WPD) following a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
At approximately 11:50 a.m., WPD received multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting at the intersection of C Street and Fitzhugh Circle. Upon arrival, officers located a man later identified as Javon Beal, 34, of Wynne, suffering from gunshot wounds. Beal was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Beal’s body was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory, where the manner and cause of death will be determined.
