Woman Accused of Using Forged Police Reports to Steal $20,000 From Jonesboro Bank

JONESBORO, Ark. — A Jonesboro suspect is facing two felony charges after police said she filed false police reports and used them in an effort to have about $20,000 in disputed bank charges reversed.

Jodeci Reshelle Boston, 33, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree forgery and theft of property greater than $5,000 but less than $25,000, according to a probable cause affidavit from the Jonesboro Police Department.

Both charges are Class C felonies.

According to the affidavit, the director of security for First National Bank of Jonesboro contacted JPD about suspects who had been providing the bank with nine forged police reports in an effort to dispute charges they claimed were fraudulent.

Police said the disputed charges were reported as having occurred between Nov. 21, 2025, and March 6, 2026. The combined potential loss to the bank was listed as $20,000.

Investigators alleged that suspects in the case would file online police reports with the Blytheville Police Department, knowing that department would not investigate because of jurisdictional issues. Police said the reports were then copied and altered to make it appear they came from the Jonesboro Police Department before being submitted to First National Bank in an effort to have the charges reversed.

According to the affidavit, Boston filed two reports with the Blytheville Police Department on Jan. 13, 2026, and Jan. 16, 2026. Police alleged those reports were altered to appear as though they were from JPD and then turned in to the bank.

Boston’s next court date is May 18. Judge Tommy Fowler set bail at $35,000 cash or surety.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
