PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould suspect is facing eight felony charges after police say he pulled a gun and charged toward several people, including a toddler, during an argument Friday.
On Oct. 3, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Seventh Street after receiving reports that a man had brandished a gun and fled the scene, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Witnesses told police that Jayden A. Rock-Clark, 18, had come to the home to see his child when an argument broke out. They said Rock-Clark shoved one person, ran to his vehicle, retrieved a handgun, cocked it, and charged toward the group. At least six adults and a juvenile under the age of 2 were either outside or just inside the home when the incident occurred.
A family member later turned over the firearm to officers and gave a consistent account of events, police said. Rock-Clark was later found, arrested, and made incriminating statements about the incident, according to police.
Rock-Clark faces seven counts of aggravated assault on a family or household member and one count of first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, all Class D felonies.
Bail was set at $50,000 cash-only, with conditions including no contact with victims, no weapons, and an ankle monitor.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in court.
