JONESBORO, Ark. – A Piggott man was arrested after a cyber tip led investigators to online content involving a juvenile, according to information released by the Jonesboro Police Department on its official Facebook page.

The investigation began when the Arkansas State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Division received a cyber tip related to an Instagram account under the name “151 Master.” According to JPD, on Aug. 15, 2024, a video was shared on the account depicting a female juvenile exposing herself to the camera. The probable cause affidavit says that the video was posted to a chatroom.

Search warrants were issued to Yahoo and Instagram, which identified the user as John Glass of Piggott. Investigators reported that Glass shared multiple explicit images through online correspondence. A search warrant was issued to Cable One regarding the IP address associated with the user. The company identified the account as assigned to an address at the 700 block of S. 14th Street in Piggott. Details were turned over to the authorities.

The probable cause affidavit states that the video shared by the suspect showed an exposed five-year-old. Another video was reportedly found of an exposed female believed to be about nine years old. The suspect is also accused of sharing images of exposed teenage girls, ages 13 and 14.

Furthermore, the affidavit details a disturbing account by the suspect. During a conversation, he stated that in 2021, when he was around 30, he sexually assaulted a family friend’s daughter who was five years old. The conversation also included the suspect allegedly stating how he liked “sex” with “underage girls.” (The correct term is ‘rape’)

John Levi Glass was taken into custody on July 25. He faces a charge for possession or use of child sexual abuse material, a Class B felony. He later appeared before Judge Dan Stidham, who set his bond at $50,000 cash only.

His next court date is set for Sept. 26 in Clay County Circuit Court.

The investigation was a joint effort between the Jonesboro Police Department’s ICAC Division and the Piggott Police Department, with the original cyber tip provided by the ASP ICAC Division.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
