NEA Family Crisis Center to Host CajunFest on Oct. 11

JONESBORO, Ark. — On Saturday, Oct. 11, the Northeast Arkansas Family Crisis Center (FCC) will host CajunFest, an event featuring unlimited food and drinks inspired by the Cajun culture.

The event, to be held at 4200 Friendly Hope Road, raises funds for the Family Crisis Center, which has been providing support in the Northeast Arkansas community for nearly 40 years.

The FCC provides shelter, advocacy, and an extensive range of support services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

“Every ticket purchased and every sponsorship pledged helps sustain critical services for survivors across Northeast Arkansas,” said Casey Kidd, Executive Director of the FCC. “Donor support allows us to truly assist survivors to move from victimization to empowerment. Together, we’re building a safer, more compassionate community.”

Services offered by FCC include safe shelter, daily meals, trauma counseling, mental health therapy, legal advocacy, and forensic exams.

CajunFest has been a longtime fundraising event for the organization, but was paused during the pandemic. This year’s event will include a silent auction, a raffle and a donation drive.

Tickets for CajunFest are $100 per person and sponsorships are available.
