JONESBORO, Ark. — A woman accused of overseeing two Jonesboro massage parlors was arrested on suspicion of laundering criminal proceeds after authorities alleged the businesses were linked to illicit activity.
Hongliang Cai, 55, of Los Angeles, Calif., is identified in court documents as the operator of Healing Massage on East Matthews Avenue and One Massage on Grant Avenue. She turned herself in to the Jonesboro Police Department on Aug. 19, 2025, after a bench warrant was issued for her arrest.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the investigation began after two men reported to police that they were touched inappropriately during massages. Detectives said surveillance and search warrants later uncovered evidence linking the businesses to suspected prostitution and money laundering.
Authorities alleged that cash from the parlors was funneled through casino visits and deposited into business accounts. The affidavit states that approximately $10,635 was seized from One Massage and $6,230 from Healing Massage during a search, with an additional $4,000 taken from Cai’s purse.
Cai was arrested on suspicion of criminal use of property or laundering criminal proceeds, a Class C felony.
During a court appearance for bail, Circuit Judge David Boling noted that Cai has no prior criminal history and said she traveled from California to surrender and address the charge. Her bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety with an agreement to wear a GPS ankle monitor, per an agreement with a deputy prosecuting attorney.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
