Coty Powers Announces Candidacy for State Representative in District 30

JONESBORO, AR — Coty Powers has announced his campaign for Arkansas State Representative in District 30, seeking the Republican nomination on a platform of government transparency, protecting families, cutting red tape, and fighting corruption.

A longtime advocate for Arkansas families, Powers served with the Department of Human Services, where he investigated child abuse and neglect — experience that shaped his commitment to standing up for the vulnerable and ensuring agencies serve the people.

“Arkansans deserve leaders who fight for transparency, fiscal responsibility, and real solutions — not political games,” said Powers. “District 30 needs a strong conservative voice who will show up, speak up, and do what’s right.”

Powers owns Powers Bail Bonds and Arkansas Professional Investigations, giving him firsthand insight into both public service and the private sector. He says Arkansas’s bureaucracy is broken — hurting small businesses and working families — and real reform is needed.

“The government needs to get out of the way and let people live their lives — and keep the money they earn,” Powers said. “The red tape and bloated bureaucracy in this state are choking small businesses and dragging down working families.”

He has made fighting corruption a top priority, strongly supporting the Freedom of Information Act and calling for criminal justice reform. “Too many judges and prosecutors give light sentences to those who harm kids. That’s not justice — Arkansans deserve better.”

Powers has previously run for the seat and built strong grassroots support. With the seat now open, he says it’s time for bold, conservative leadership that works for the people — not political insiders.
