MARMADUKE, Ark. — Two suspects were arrested following an alleged armed home invasion at a residence in the Marmaduke area, according to an affidavit from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded Feb. 24, 2026, to a residence on Greene County Road 443 in reference to an assault.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with multiple individuals who were present at the home.
According to the affidavit, the residents told deputies that Vernon Wesley Dixon Jr. and Eric Dixon forced entry into the residence without permission and began attempting to assault a resident while family members were inside the home.
The affidavit states that during the incident, Eric Dixon threw a knife in the direction of a resident. The knife struck nearby but did not hit the individual.
Witnesses told investigators that Samantha Morris Dixon transported Vernon Wesley Dixon Jr. and Eric Dixon to the residence in a silver four-door SUV and remained outside while the suspects entered the home.
According to witness statements, after the incident, Wesley Dixon and Eric Dixon fled the residence and entered the rear passenger area of the SUV driven by Samantha Morris Dixon.
A resident told deputies that as Samantha Morris Dixon was leaving the property, she accelerated the vehicle in the resident’s direction, causing the individual to move out of the way to avoid being struck.
The resident further reported the vehicle struck a trailer and a wooden post while leaving the property. Deputies said they observed property damage consistent with that statement.
Vernon Wesley Dixon Jr., 51, was arrested Feb. 27, 2026, on a charge of aggravated residential burglary, a Class Y felony. Bail was set at $500,000 with conditions including no contact orders protecting the victims, no weapons, and a GPS ankle monitor if released.
Jail records show Samantha Dixon, 31, was arrested Feb. 25, 2026, on a charge of aggravated residential burglary. Bail was set at $250,000.
According to jail records, Eric Dixon was arrested in Marion County and held on a warrant pending extradition.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
