PARAGOULD, Ark. — A man has been identified in connection with a 2022 vehicle break-in in Paragould after DNA evidence from the scene matched a sample in state records, police said.
On Oct. 9, 2022, officers responded to a residence in Paragould regarding a report of breaking or entering, according to the probable cause affidavit. The victim told police that someone had entered her unlocked vehicle, stolen cash and small items, and left blood inside the vehicle.
Detectives collected the blood evidence and submitted it to the Arkansas State Crime Lab. On March 27, 2025, detectives were notified that the DNA matched Hutch Townsley.
Townsley is accused of breaking or entering, a Class D felony, and theft of property, a Class A misdemeanor.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
