BATESVILLE, Ark. — The Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is investigating a double homicide after the Independence County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) requested assistance.
On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, ICSO responded to a request for a welfare check at a home in the 1600 block of Old Camp Road. Teresa Owens Nelson, 53, and Patricia Anderson, 71, were found deceased inside the home.
They were transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab.
The investigation is ongoing.
