Paragould Police Investigate Rash of Break-ins, Stolen Firearm

PARAGOULD, Ark. – Vehicles are being broken into in Paragould, prompting authorities to caution residents about leaving their vehicles unlocked or leaving valuables inside.

Police are investigating a series of break-ins that have occurred in the past week, with about 30 reported incidents across the city, according to Captain Jason Elms with the Paragould Police Department. Authorities say they are following leads and working to identify potential suspects.

In addition to the break-ins, two vehicles were reported stolen but have since been recovered. Police also said an AR-15 rifle with a fully loaded magazine was taken during one of the incidents. The firearm has not been recovered.

The investigation is ongoing. Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant.
