Reports Allege Guns Aimed at Juveniles in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. — Two recent reports from Jonesboro detail allegations of assault with firearms where the victims were juveniles.

The first incident happened around 12:35 p.m. on Jan. 22, 2025, at a location in Jonesboro that is specifically masked in the incident report. While working the police desk, a 43-year-old woman came in to report the incident. Her son, 16, was the alleged victim.

The report alleged that the 16-year-old was repeatedly struck and had a firearm pointed at him. Two black male suspects between the ages of 18 and 20, and a third unknown suspect in the same age range, are listed in the report.

The incident is being investigated as a possible case of aggravated assault.

In a separate report, police were dispatched on Jan. 24. 2025 to the 500-block of West Huntington about a disturbance that had already occurred. Between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., the report alleges a juvenile suspect pointed a gun at a 13-year-old male and “told him to dance or he would shoot him.”

Two suspects are listed in the report, ages 13 and 14. Their names are masked but it appears police have specific information about each.
