PARAGOULD, Ark. — A woman is accused of felony theft of property after it was reported she sold vehicles belonging to someone who was incarcerated at the time.
The probable cause affidavit says on Nov. 12, the Paragould Police Department took the report detailing multiple stolen vehicles. The alleged victim told police while incarcerated, the defendant sold his vehicles without permission.
Witnesses helped police locate the defendant by confirming the sales.
Police spoke with the defendant. The affidavit said she confessed to police she had sold a car and motorcycle. After waiving her Miranda rights, she told police she sold the victim’s car and motorcycle because she was angry at him for being abusive towards her.
Ava Collins Dees, 31, was arrested for theft of property, a Class D felony.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
