Former School Employee Accused of Sexual Indecency with Child in Greene County

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A woman who was also a school employee is accused of sending nude photos of herself to a minor student in Greene County.

On Sept. 24, 2024, the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline received a referral alleging that a 34-year-old female employed by a school had sent nude photos of herself to a minor student, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Several students were interviewed by the Crimes Against Children Division. One minor student provided nude photos of a female believed to be the defendant in the case.

The defendant was interviewed at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Oct. 29. The PC affidavit alleges that she identified the photos obtained from the minor student as photos of herself.

Kara Sueanne Callahan, 35, was arrested on Nov. 2. She faces a charge of sexual indecency with a child, a Class D felony. Judge Dan Stidham set bail at $50,000 cash or surety.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
