JONESBORO, Ark. — Authorities arrested a man Wednesday in Jonesboro after a police report alleged he threatened victims with a machete.
Between 1 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 11 at the 2500 block of East Johnson Avenue, JPD responded to take a report from two alleged victims in the case. According to the incident report’s MO, the suspect “threatened victims with a machete and threatened/tried to kill multiple people and himself.”
The report indicated the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault were unknown, stating that there was not a known relationship between the suspect and the alleged victims.
Police logged an Ozark Trail machete and a can of Axe body spray into evidence.
David Muteba Kibambe, 20, of Jonesboro, was arrested on felony charges including aggravated assault, first-degree terroristic threatening, and arson. The arson charge was not explained in the visible portions of the police report. However, much of the investigative narrative is still masked pending the probable cause hearing expected on Friday.
Kibambe was transported to the Craighead County Detention Center, where he awaits his PC hearing for bond.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
