One Injured in Weekend Shooting in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. — A suspect shot a victim over the weekend in Jonesboro, according to a police report released on Monday.

Between 12:30 AM and 1:56 AM on Saturday, August 3, at the intersection of Arlington Ct. and S. Madison Street, a suspect shot a victim as he was in a vehicle, the incident report says. A 24-year-old male resident of the Cedar Heights area suffered a gunshot wound to the left shoulder, causing a major internal injury, according to the report. The circumstances surrounding the shooting were unknown to police.

There was no suspect information listed in the report.

Police seized a Glock 43 with a black frame and gold slide from the alleged victim, noting dried blood was on it. A 9mm hollow point was recovered as well as two gray gloves, one with fresh blood on it.

Numerous officers responded to the area to investigate.
