Blytheville Police Execute Search Warrant in Memphis in Rental Equipment Theft Operation

BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. – Authorities in Blytheville teamed up with law enforcement in Memphis to execute a search warrant and arrest two on Sunday, a press release from the department said.

On February 25, 2024, officers from the Blytheville Police Department, in collaboration with the Memphis Police Department, executed a search warrant at 6040 Mission Ridge Road in Memphis, TN. The warrant was part of Operation Code Zero and Operation Heavy Lift, a nationwide law enforcement effort targeting the theft of rental equipment.

The operation stemmed from a prior effort on January 11, 2024, when officers from the Blytheville Police Department, Arkansas State Police, and Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department obtained arrest warrants for 21 Blytheville residents suspected of involvement in a continuing criminal enterprise. During this operation, officers also executed search warrants at two Blytheville residences and seized two vehicles.

The search warrant executed in Memphis on Sunday was a direct result of evidence gathered during the January 11th operation.

Prior to the search, officers obtained a felony warrant for the arrest of Latijah Starr, who was believed to reside at the Mission Ridge Road residence. Starr was charged with Engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise or organization. Starr will be arraigned upon her extradition back to Arkansas. Additionally, Maleke Dority was arrested after it was discovered that he had an active warrant for his arrest from the Little Rock Police Department.

Evidence obtained during the execution of the warrant is currently awaiting processing by the involved departments.

Authorities are still seeking the following individuals as a result of felony warrants obtained during the investigation:

  • James Hodges (born 05/28/1992)
  • Randon James (born 09/15/1990)
  • George Mosby (born 01/03/1980)
  • Ricky Carter (born 01/23/1966)
