Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Events are Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 20-21

JONESBORO – The Northeast Arkansas Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration has been rescheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Fullness of Joy Ministries Church at 2120 Thorn St. in Jonesboro.

The program will proceed as previously planned with the previously announced speaker, Jannie M. Cotton, former chief executive officer of Professional Counseling Associates in North Little Rock.

KLEK 102.5 will livestream the event on its Facebook page.

The Youth Celebration originally planned for last Sunday has been rescheduled to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, at the Jonesboro High School Performing Arts Center.

The schedule changes were made necessary because of the harsh winter weather that came into the area early this week.
