Kidnapping, sexual assault reported in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. – An alarming report detailing a sex crime was filed with the Jonesboro Police Department on Wednesday.

Most information in the report is masked to protect the victim.

Between 6:30 PM on February 4 and 2 AM on February 6, at a location in Jonesboro, a 21-year-old white female victim was held against her will and sexually assaulted, the report says. The suspect, who appears to have been identified by police, is listed as a 29-year-old black male, 6’5″ and 230 pounds with a full beard.

Police took the report at St. Bernard’s Medical Center, where a sexual assault kit was completed and logged into evidence. Authorities also logged clothing from the alleged assault into evidence.

The case was under investigation as of the last update for a possible charge of rape.
