JPD announces pot and pill bust

JONESBORO, Ark. – Police announced an arrest and seizure of 1.6 pounds of marijuana and 131 Oxycodone pills, plus a gun, in a social media post on Friday.

The arrest happened on January 30, when police said two officers were dispatched to an unwanted guest call where the subject of the call was on parole.

The officers arrived and found two joints in the vehicle of the subject as well as part of a pill, the release said.

A parole search was conducted of his residence following this. Police said they found a blue duffel bag during the search.

This bag contained 1.6 lbs of marijuana packaged separately for resale and 131 Oxycodone pills in unmarked prescription bottles. Also seized during this search were a defaced firearm and two ecstasy pills.
