
JONESBORO, Ark. – A scary situation was reported to Jonesboro police Saturday night and it began with a shots fired call.
Police responded to the 600-block of Chesnut Street after 11 PM on January 14. Initially, authorities were dispatched in regards to a shots fired call.
Authorities met with the alleged victim, 37, who lived at the address. The report states that the suspect “pulled the victim’s hair out and attempted to shoot her.” The woman, a self-employed hair dresser, had sustained minor injuries including scratches around her neck and bruising and scratching around her right eye.
The suspect, only identified as a male, was said to be an ex-boyfriend of the alleged victim. All identifying information on the suspect was masked.
A small gray SUV driven by the suspect was reported.
The suspect faces felony charges including aggravated assault, terroristic threatening first degree, and third degree domestic battering.
