Three shot early Thursday in Trumann

An early morning shooting sent three to area hospitals from Trumann, with two in critical condition.

At approximately 4:44 am on Thursday, Trumann Dispatch received a call of a man lying in the roadway near Hwy 463 and Main St. in Trumann. Officers responded and found that three people, two males and a female, had been shot.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that the shooting resulted from a disturbance at an apartment on Cross St.

Two of the persons shot are in critical condition and were transported by helicopter. The third was transported by ambulance and is in stable condition.

No other suspects or victims were involved in this incident.

Cross Street was shut down to collect evidence and continue the investigation.
