Man shot early Sunday in Jonesboro

Jonesboro Police were investigating an early morning shooting on Sunday in Jonesboro.

It happened in the 4700 block of Caraway Rd. a little before 5 a.m., a news release said.

The male victim arrived on scene and was shot multiple times by a person who was inside the residence. He was transported to a local hospital before being airlifted to a Memphis hospital.

It is reported that he is in stable condition at this time.

The suspect fled the scene on foot and police are searching for a person of interest.
