Dollar General manager assaulted during robbery; Other weekend police reports from JPD

A report of firearms being discharged was released on Monday, dated back to 11/27. It happened at the 1900-block of Paula Drive with a suspect shooting out a victim’s window.

A residential burglary allegedly occurred between 12/1 and 12/3 at the 1000-block of Rains Street involving someone stealing money and prescriptions.

A burglary was reported on 12/4 between 10:30 AM and about 4 PM at the 3700-block of S. Caraway Road. Someone allegedly broke into an apartment and took items.

A Dollar General manager suffered a broken nose during a suspected robbery before 4 PM 12/4 at the 5900-block of E. Johnson Ave. Two suspects were listed in the report but no arrests.

A burglary was reported between noon and around 10 PM at the 1700-block of W. Warner Friday in Jonesboro.

A 78-year-old woman died alone on Friday at an address in Jonesboro due to COVID-19, a police report said.

A report alleges that a suspect fired a gunshot and then tossed the gun into a trash can around 2 AM on 12/5 at the 1700-block of Wood Street. Jonathan Edgorian Isom, 26, of Jonesboro, was arrested. He faces felony charges including theft by receiving a firearm and possession of firearm by certain persons.

A residential burglary was reported between 10 AM and 12:27 PM on 12/5 at the 200-block of S. Allis Street with various items being stolen including a TV.

Two people were arrested for allegedly trespassing while in possession of meth on 12/5 at the 600-block of N. Church Street. Ron Andrew Hancock, 40, of Pine Bluff and Marquacia L. Griffin, 33, of Jonesboro, were arrested.

A residential burglary was reported after 3 PM on 12/5 at the 2300-block of Westacre Drive.

  • A vehicle break-in was reported on 12/4 around 9 AM at the 2100-block of Brazos
  • A vehicle break-in was reported in the early morning hours on 12/4 at the 900-block of Live Oak Circle.
  • Sometime between midnight and 10 AM on 12/5 at the 1800-block of Mitzi
  • Between 11 AM and 4 PM on 12/5 at the 100-block of East Highland Drive; Stole wallet and cards
