One killed in late Thursday Jonesboro shooting; suspect in custody

JONESBORO, Ark. – A fatal shooting happened Thursday night in Jonesboro.

JPD officers responded to a shots heard call around 10:52 p.m. at the corner of Brazos and Parkwood. Officers arrived on scene to discover a male victim with a gunshot wound. He was transported by EMS to a local hospital.

He later passed away from his injuries, police said Friday morning.

CID was called to the scene.

A suspect has been arrested and was transported to the Craighead County Detention Center.
