JONESBORO, Ark. – One local plumbing business found over $1,000 in equipment stolen from one of their trucks while another had rocks thrown through their windows over the weekend in Jonesboro.
The first case was reported by Nuckles & Son Plumbing representatives on Monday to the Jonesboro Police Department. The report says sometime between Friday at 5 PM and Monday at 8 AM, a suspect somehow gained access to a work vehicle at the 300-block of N. Culberhouse. They may have jumped the fence.
Once they broke into the vehicle, which is a felony by itself, they stole over $1,000 (but less than $5,000) in items, another felony. A cordless Sawzall, a cordless drill, a cordless impact gun, batteries, chargers, drill bits, and even boots were all stolen from the red Ford F-450.
In a separate incident, sometime between Saturday and Monday morning, a vandal tossed rocks at a local business’s windows. Midsouth Plumbing, 2600 East Highland Drive, had two windows busted out with two large rocks in front of both windows.
Unfortunately, no security cameras nearby would have captured the activity. By the incident report, it did not appear police had any leads in the case. It was estimated that the damages will cost the business $600.
