House shot up in Jonesboro, no injuries reported

JONESBORO, Ark. – Gunfire echoed through the quiet night in Jonesboro overnight, prompting an immediate investigation by JPD.

No injuries were reported in the early Tuesday morning shooting. JPD’s Desk Sergeant confirmed to NEA Report it happened before 3:30 AM at about the 500-block of Melrose. That’s off of Johnson Avenue in north Jonesboro.

Although no human targets were hit, a house was struck several times by bullets.

The suspect or suspects fled the scene after the shooting and are still wanted.

At 5:30 AM, police were still on the scene processing evidence.

  1. I don’t get why they don’t put smaller police station in this area it might help I don’t it but you never know.
