WYNNE, Ark. – Two people are facing a laundry list of charges after a high-speed chase, a fight, and the arrest and recovery of major drugs.

The Cross County Sheriff’s Office put the release out about the incident. On Thursday, May, 2 at about 2:19 PM, a deputy attempted to conduct a motorist assist on a Black Suburban pulling a trailer that contained motorcycles on the shoulder of Highway 64 East. Deputy Hunter initiated his lights and pulled behind the vehicle at which time the male got into the driver seat and pulled off at a higher than normal rate of speed. The deputy concluded the motorist assist and deactivated his blue lights.

The deputy drove behind the vehicle as it increased speeds. It went from an attempt to help to a traffic stop after the vehicle crossed over the centerline. The vehicle failed to stop and began to drive at a high rate of speed while crossing into on coming lanes of traffic. At one point the Suburban left the roadway and circled behind a house through a yard before coming back onto Highway 64.

The vehicle continued to travel west into the city limits of Wynne while still driving erratically. The black Suburban then turned onto 64 Spur Road. A deputy who was assisting was able to get in front of the vehicle. The Suburban continued evasive actions by striking that deputy in the rear of his patrol unit and slamming on the brakes causing Deputy Hunter to strike his trailer.

The suburban then left the roadway and drove into a field. The subject drove for approximately 800 yards before he stopped to try to unhook his trailer, which he had been pulling this entire time. The deputies entered the field and drove towards the suspect at which time he jumped back into the vehicle and tried to flee again, the sheriff’s office said. Deputy Hunter was able to strike the suspect vehicle in the driver side rear door to immobilize the vehicle.

The male who was identified as Kelsey Bragg (24, Rock Island, IL) was taken into custody after a struggle. The sheriff’s office said officers received minor injuries.

The female passenger who was identified as Keyciyah Huge (20, Rock Island, IL) who was also taken in to custody. Her 11 month old child was transported to the local hospital for evaluation of injuries. The child was since placed in DHS custody.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a loaded 9mm pistol, 15.6 grams of heroin, 16.3 grams of crack cocaine, 3.8 grams of marijuana, synthetic marijuana (K2), and drug paraphernalia. Also located was $593.92, which has been seized by the Cross County Sheriff’s Office.
