Report: Road rage at JHS turns into vehicle vandalism

JONESBORO, Ark. – A woman reported her vehicle was damaged by a suspect during a road rage incident and posted photos to prove it online.

The following is from Officer Paul Williams with Jonesboro Police Department.

“On Saturday, 12/09/2017 at approximately 2252 hours I was dispatched to Jonesboro High School in reference to vehicle damage. Upon arrival I made contact with Complainant (Grooms, Dana) who advised that her vehicle had been damaged. Complainant (Grooms, Dana) advised that she was waiting in line in front of the basketball gym to pick up her daughter when a white Chrysler 300 passed her. Complainant (Grooms, Dana) advised that a black male, who was driving the vehicle, stopped and began yelling at her to move out of the way. Complainant (Grooms, Dana) advised that she told him that she was waiting for her daughter and couldn’t move out of the way. Complainant (Grooms, Dana) advised that after an exchange of words, she yelled “fuck you” at the black male driver, who she advised she felt was trying to intimidate her. She advised that the black male subject then exited his vehicle and walked to hers, then proceeded to kick the driver side rear bumper. I observed a crack in the bumper along with smeared dirt consistent with that of a shoe.

The suspect was not able to be located.”

The woman posted a photo of the damage, along with a description.
