Downtown Playhouse to Stage “The Woman in Black”

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – Just in time for Halloween, The Downtown Playhouse in Pocahontas will stage “The Woman in Black” this fall. The thriller will debut on Oct. 28 and have a special performance on Halloween night, and it will then run through November.

As the plot unfolds, a lawyer hires an actor to help him recount a story that has troubled him since he attended the funeral of an elderly recluse. The lawyer has invited some friends to watch as he and the actor recreate the events of that dark and stormy night.

The production is sponsored by Anderson Refrigeration of Pocahontas, a certified Trane dealer, and it is directed by Kelly Grooms.

Dessert and a beverage are included in the cost of admission. Dessert offerings include: Double Coconut Creme Pie, Hershey’s S’mores Creme Pie, Cinnamon Apple Pound Cake and Sugar-Free JELLO Parfait.
