LAKE CITY, Ark. – Christopher Trey Yerbey, 27, is believed to have shot and killed someone Monday afternoon in Lake City.
He was wanted by authorities and considered armed and dangerous, said Craighead County Sheriff Marty Boyd on Monday night. However, he turned himself in Tuesday morning.
The crime happened at 709 4th Street in Lake City sometime Monday afternoon, Boyd told NEA Report. Boyd said Yerbey was believed to have shot a man who died. He is then believed to have fled east, possibly to Mississippi or Crittenden counties.
The 27-year-old white male has a tattoo on his neck – some type of skull with it’s mouth open, possibly. His nose has been broken and is crooked. He has a goatee, light brown, and dark brown hair. He appears to be a skinnier man.
Shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, Boyd said he turned himself in to West Memphis police – confirming he had moved east.
The name of the victim was not released to NEA Report as of 9 p.m. Monday.
The deceased victim in Monday’s shooting in Lake City was Rickie Glen Kirkendoll, 55, of Lake City, Boyd said at about 11 a.m. Tuesday.
