Jonesboro police investigating Sunday night robbery

JONESBORO, Ark. – Jonesboro police are investigating an incident in which two 19-year-old men said they were robbed Sunday night of cash and cell phones by a group of teens they encountered in the 3700 block of Kristi Lake.

Officers were dispatched to 3704 Kristi Lake at approximately 10:11 Sunday night. The complainants told officers that they went to the Kristi Lake address to meet a female but once they arrived, they were led to the back of the building where a number of males jumped from the bushes, attacked and robbed them before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

Officers stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle at the Interstate 555/Harrisburg Road intersection and arrested five occupants of the vehicle – two 17-year-old males, a 16-year-old male, a 17-year-old female and an 18-year-old male.
