
JONESBORO, Ark. – A man went to jail for allegedly having a stolen gun, an incident report from Jonesboro police said.
At about 1:20 a.m. Saturday morning, JPD Officer Zachary McQuay was traveling east on Hoover when he noticed a red Ford Explorer with the turn signal out. He began a traffic stop, making contact with the suspect, Michael T. Manning, 45, of Jonesboro, who was on parole.
A search was conducted and a stolen gun, a black Smith and Wesson Model 59 9mm, was found in his waistband.

A small pack of cigarettes with a bag of marijuana was also found.
He was transported to Craighead County Detention Center for a parole violation, possession of a firearm by certain persons, theft by receiving, and possession for the pot.
