JONESBORO, Ark. – Jonesboro officers have arrested a suspect in connection with Thursday’s robbery of a tobacco store.
At approximately 11:52 a.m., officers responded to an aggravated robbery call at Gee Street Tobacco Store at 504 Gee St. Dispatch advised that a black female had entered the store, indicated she had a weapon and demanded money from the clerk, fleeing the store with cash from the register.
The suspect was last seen in the area of the Food Smart grocery store on Gee Street. Through investigation, officers were able to identify a suspect. Investigators with the police department’s Street Crimes Unit traveled to an address on Creath Thursday evening, where they located the suspect and arrested her.
The suspect is expected to appear at a probable cause hearing Friday in Craighead County District Court.
