
JONESBORO, Ark. – A reported threat of violence at Valley View Junior High School has Jonesboro police on the scene, a release says.
The Jonesboro Police Department is investigating an allegation of threats of violence being made by a student or students at Valley View Junior High School. It was decided that the best course of action was to treat this situation seriously, said the release.
Detectives are in the process of interviewing witnesses and suspects at this time to determine the validity and credibility of this allegation.
There is currently no danger to the students or staff at Valley View Junior High School.
Extra officers have been assigned to patrol Valley View schools and the police department will maintain a presence at the school until this case has been resolved.
