Active Shooter Training on AState Campus

Starting Tuesday, May 9, the University Police Department is hosting an active shooter training with local law enforcement.

The training is at the Humanities and Social Sciences Building, and until the drills are completed on Friday, May 12, individuals on campus can expect to see a heavy police presence in and around the building.

The LASER (Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response) course will include loud noises and simulated gunfire as drills are conducted.

Although this training is not open to the public or news media representatives, we are giving advance notice because you are likely to receive citizen calls.
