Drug charges and more in Izard County

MELBOURNE, Ark. – For driving left of the center lane, an Izard County man ended up facing a litany of drug charges.

On April 7, Izard County Sheriff’s Deputy Toby Smith stopped Charles R. Earle, 64, for driving left to center. After the traffic stop was completed, Earle was arrested for:

  1. possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to delivery methamphetamine a class A felony,
  2. possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver Schedule ll Hydromorphone a class B felony
  3. possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver Schedule lll suboxone a class C felony
  4. possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver, Schedule VI marijuana a class A misdemeanor
  5. Possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to process, prepare, test analyze, pack, repack, store, contain or conceal methamphetamine a class B felony.

Earle is currently incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond. Earle also has a hold from Arkansas Department of Corrections Probation and Parole.

On April 11, Victoria Danielle Shaw, 23, was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan. Shaw was charged with Domestic Battering third degree Shaw had a bond of 1,120 and must see judge. Shaw is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on May 18.

On April 11, Hassan Sayles, 23, was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan. Sayles was charged with Domestic Battering third degree a class A misdemeanor. Sayles is being held in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of 1120 cash bond. Sayles is scheduled to appear in Izard County district court in Melbourne on May 18.

On April 10, Sharie Lynn Kipfer, 50, was arrested by Deputy Steve Davidson. Kipfer was charged with no drivers license and Driving while intoxicated.. Kipfer bonded out on a $1015 professional bond. Kipfer is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on May 18.

On April 16, Larry Joe Long, 40, was charged with felony failure to appear. Long is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center with no bond. Long is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 25.

On April 16, Richard Tews, 43, was arrested by Deputy Mike Smith for false imprisonment 2nd degree, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Tews is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and must see judge before bond. Tews will appear in the Izard County District Court in Horseshoe Bend on June 13.

On April 15, Cole Andrew Tate, 26, was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for Driving While Intoxicated. Tate bonded on a $820 professional bond. Tate is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on May 18.

On April 13, Brent Allen Dale, 49, was arrested by Sgt. Mark Simino for failure to appear. Dale is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center with no bond. Dale is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on April 27.

On April 12, Steven Allen Roberts, 31, was arrested by Deputy Steve Davidson for Domestic Battering 3rd degree. Roberts is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center with an $1120 bond. Roberts is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court in Melbourne on April 27.
