Vehicle flips multiple times in 3 a.m. wreck

JONESBORO, Ark. – As Friday had just begun, a terrible automobile accident was taking place on Red Wolf Boulevard in Jonesboro.

At 3:10 a.m. on Friday morning, the crash report from Jonesboro police says the accident took place on Red Wolf Boulevard near the Forest Home Road intersection. It was there a 2008 Dodge Ram, driven by Jerry J. Jackson, 27, of Jonesboro, was traveling northbound on Red Wolf when it crossed both opposing lanes of traffic and entered into the ditch on the west side of the roadway, the report says.

dscn3518The truck then traveled through the ditch, eventually flipping multiple times before re-entering the roadway on Forest Home Road, where it came to a rest on its driver’s side with the front end facing the west. A street sign was struck during the mayhem,

The driver was flown to The Med in Memphis due to the unknown extent of his injuries from the accident.

The Dodge truck was totaled by the accident. The vehicle was towed by Central Towing.

JPD arrived on the scene only 1 minute after it was reported. Ambulance personnel from Emerson arrived at 3:20 a.m.
